There’s been a lot of talk lately, so let’s start with the most important thing first: the Cliffs of Moher are open and ready to be explored in 2026. And trust me, they are just as spectacular as ever.

At Ollie’s Tours, the Cliffs of Moher are one of my absolute favourite places to bring visitors. No matter how many times I visit, they never fail to impress. Here are my top ten reasons why the Cliffs of Moher should be firmly on your 2026 Ireland itinerary.

  1. The views are simply unforgettable

Stretching for over 8km along the Wild Atlantic Way, the cliffs rise dramatically above the Atlantic Ocean. Photos don’t do them justice. This is something you need to see in person.

  1. They’re different every single day

  1. They’re fully open in 2026

Despite rumours you may have heard, the Cliffs remain open, accessible, and welcoming visitors. Walking routes, viewing areas, and facilities are all in place.

Whether you want a gentle stroll or a longer coastal walk, there’s a route to suit everyone, with stunning views the entire way.

  1. Amazing wildlife

From puffins and razorbills to soaring seabirds riding the Atlantic winds, the cliffs are alive with nature, especially in spring and early summer.

  1. A photographer’s dream

Golden-hour light, crashing waves, and dramatic cliff faces make this one of the most photogenic places in Ireland.

  1. Deep history and local stories

The cliffs aren’t just beautiful, they’re full of history, folklore, and stories that bring the landscape to life when explored with a local guide.

  1. Fewer crowds when you know the right times

With local knowledge, it’s possible to enjoy the cliffs at quieter moments, something I focus on with the tours.

  1. Perfectly paired with County Clare highlights

  1. Because they’re an Irish must-see
